Here you can read the terms and conditions governing the use of voices.be and the services you purchase via our platform. Where necessary, additional terms and conditions apply depending on the type of service, for example for workshops or online learning programmes.

1. Applicability

These general terms and conditions apply to all offers, quotations and agreements between us and our clients. By placing an order or requesting a quotation, the client agrees to these terms and conditions.

2. Rates and Payment

All prices exclude VAT, unless we explicitly state otherwise. You can pay using the provided payment methods or, if we agree, by invoice within 14 days.

The agreed delivery period (turnaround) for an assignment only begins once we have received and confirmed your full payment. If you opt for a manual bank transfer, the project will only commence after our final confirmation of receipt. Please allow for bank processing times.

3. Delivery and Usage Rights

The delivery timeframe is determined per project. Usage rights (buy-outs) are limited to the media, region, and period specified in your order. Any other use must be agreed upon in writing beforehand and may lead to additional costs.

In unforeseen circumstances or force majeure (such as, but not limited to, sudden illness or loss of voice by the actor, or prolonged technical malfunctions), the delivery period may be extended in consultation. We will inform the client of this as soon as possible, but we are not liable for any (consequential) damage due to this delay.

Corrections for reading or pronunciation errors, or a recording that does not match the requested style, are included in the assignment. If you change the script after the recording has already been made, or request an additional revision round that is a new creative choice rather than a correction, this may be charged separately.

4. Cancellation and Right of Withdrawal

Given the nature of the service (custom audio recordings), the statutory right of withdrawal does not apply to completed recordings. Cancellation of a commission after the voice actor has commenced work is subject to a charge.

5. Liability

We strive for optimal quality in the services provided, but we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages resulting from the use of the delivered audio recordings.

Our liability for direct damages from an order is always limited to the invoice amount of that specific order.

6. AI Use and Voice Cloning

Audio supplied via Voices must not be used for AI training, voice cloning, or text-to-speech generation, unless a specific licence has been purchased in advance for this purpose.

7. Submitted Content

The client warrants that they are entitled to have the provided script or text recorded, and that the content does not infringe on copyrights or other third-party rights, and is not defamatory, hateful or otherwise unlawful. The client indemnifies Voices and the voice actor against any third-party claims arising therefrom.

8. Direct contact with the actor

Clients may not contact a voice actor they have met through Voices for new projects outside of the platform, with the intention of avoiding our mediation and commission. If a breach is proven, we may still charge the standard commission.

Demos and examples

Audio and video demonstrations and other examples provided by voice actors or other suppliers may appear on the platform. Voices is therefore not automatically the rights holder for those works. The rights remain with the rights holder designated by law or contract. Use on this site takes place within the framework of those rights and the agreements between the provider and Voices.

Protection of demos and auditions

Customers and visitors are expressly forbidden from downloading, copying, or using voice demos, demo recordings, or custom auditions from the platform for their own (commercial) purposes, presentations, or AI applications, unless a final paid assignment has been completed for them.

If you intentionally damage or carelessly use our microphones or other studio equipment, we may charge you for the repair or replacement costs.

4. Confidentiality

Deelname aan de workshop betekent dat je vertrouwelijke informatie die je hoort (van ons of andere deelnemers) niet deelt met anderen. Zo houden we het een veilige en respectvolle omgeving voor iedereen.

5. Intellectual property

We hebben met zorg al het workshopmateriaal ontwikkeld. Dit materiaal is alleen bedoeld voor jouw persoonlijke gebruik. Het delen, kopiëren of commercieel inzetten ervan is niet toegestaan zonder onze toestemming.

We have developed all workshop materials with care. These materials are intended for your personal use only. Sharing, copying or commercial use is not permitted without our consent.

We willen dat iedereen een fijne en inspirerende dag beleeft. We vragen je daarom om respectvol om te gaan met mededeelnemers en de trainer. Mocht er storend gedrag plaatsvinden, dan behouden we ons het recht voor om je deelname te beëindigen. Uiteraard hopen we dat dit niet nodig is!

7. Health and Safety

Jij kent je eigen grenzen het beste. Zorg goed voor jezelf tijdens de workshop en laat ons weten als er speciale omstandigheden zijn waarmee we rekening kunnen houden.

8. Force majeure

In het geval van onvoorziene omstandigheden, zoals ziekte van de trainer of andere overmacht, kan het zijn dat we de workshop moeten verplaatsen. In dat geval brengen we je direct op de hoogte en zoeken we samen naar een oplossing.

9. Toepasselijk recht

Belgian law applies to all agreements. If you have any questions or uncertainties, we will always work with you to find a suitable solution.

10. One-to-one Coaching Sessions

For 1-on-1 coaching sessions, cancellations or refunds are not possible. You must be online at the agreed time. If your coach is unable to make the agreed time, they will reschedule your session.

1. Scope

These terms apply when you make a voluntary financial contribution via a Voices Artist site to support an artist or a creative project described by the artist. They supplement the general commercial relationship with Voices where needed, but do not replace a separate agreement if you also purchase goods or services (for example a ticket or studio recording): those follow their own terms and invoicing.

If you buy or book something via an Artist site that does involve a performance - for example, a gig, a product or a service, other than a voluntary contribution - these support terms do not apply. Instead, the general terms and conditions of Voices apply (see document 10 below).

2. No personal legal or tax advice

This text helps you understand the nature of voluntary support. It does not replace advice from a lawyer, accountant or tax adviser. If you are unsure about your situation (e.g. inheritance tax, registration of gifts, company law or customs), consult a professional.

3. Voluntary gift. No purchase, no consideration

Under Belgian civil law, a gift is essentially a voluntary, gratuitous transfer of part of someone’s assets to another who accepts it, without consideration owed in return. What you contribute through this flow is modelled as such a voluntary financial contribution: it is not a purchase price and does not automatically entitle you to delivery of a product, service, performance or reward by Voices or the artist.

Your contribution does not oblige the artist or Voices to perform a specific service towards you (unless you separately enter into an agreement that expressly provides otherwise).
Any thank-yous or visibility on the site are expressly not intended as compensation in exchange for your contribution and do not guarantee content, timing or duration, unless clearly agreed elsewhere in contract.
If you are a consumer and do buy a digital or physical product with a right of withdrawal, the rules of that purchase apply; not this voluntary-support clause.

4. Payment and processing

Payments are processed via recognised payment providers (such as Mollie). Your payment details are handled by that provider and under our privacy statement; Voices does not store full card numbers. If a payment is refused or reversed, no voluntary contribution is established.

5. Refunds and disputes

Because this is a voluntary gift without an obligation to deliver, there is in principle no right to a refund as with a consumer purchase. In exceptional cases (e.g. a clear duplicate charge due to a technical error), you can contact the Voices team; we review that fairly on a case-by-case basis. Disputes about purchase or services outside this voluntary contribution fall under the terms that apply to that transaction.

6. Tax and registration (Belgium)

In Belgium, gift taxes and registration duties are regional (Flanders, Brussels, Wallonia) and depend on the form of the gift. A regular bank transfer or online payment to a natural person does not automatically provide a tax certificate like some gifts to recognised institutions. Whether your contribution has personal tax consequences depends on your situation; Voices cannot promise that here.

7. Link to the label manifest

On the Artist site, the label manifest (why / how / what) describes the artist’s values and approach. Voluntary support aligns with that: it supports artistic work and community without the supporter gaining an individual delivery obligation or claim to a specific result. The manifest explains the why; these terms legally clarify the no-consideration nature of the contribution.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Voices and the artist are not liable for indirect or consequential damage arising from your voluntary contribution. Nothing in this text limits mandatory consumer rights where they apply to a separate purchase.

9. Changes

We may update these terms to align with legislation, payment partners or our operations. The date at the top will then be revised. Continued use of the support flow after publication of an update means you are aware of the revised text.
